At House of Grace, we believe healing happens in community—with compassion, truth, and grace at the center. Founded by Shannon Maroldo, a licensed mental health therapist and mother of three, this practice offers a warm, nonjudgmental space where women—especially mothers—can feel held, heard, and deeply understood.
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or difficult life transitions, House of Grace is here to walk with you through it.
You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck in painful patterns, or just lost in the weight of life’s transitions. You’re not alone—and you don’t have to figure it out on your own.
Here, we take a deeply personal, human approach to healing. Shannon blends clinical expertise with lived experience, speaking openly about her own grief, trauma, and motherhood. The result? A practice that doesn’t just feel professional—it feels like your village.
Let’s talk. You’ll share what’s going on, ask questions, and see if we’re a good fit. We’ll also look at scheduling options for regular sessions.
We’ll dive deeper into your story, identify your goals, and lay the foundation for our work together. These sessions are typically 60 minutes.
We’ll create a personalized plan to help you regulate emotions, shift harmful patterns, and reconnect you with the people and moments that matter most. These sessions are typically 45-50 minutes.
This is your journey—but I’ll walk beside you the whole way. We accept most major insurance plans and eligibility and co-pays may be discussed during your consultation.
"Through her guidance, I’ve grown into someone who trusts my own thoughts and decisions with confidence—a shift I never thought possible. She’s given me a fresh, empowering perspective that has reshaped how I approach challenges and how I see myself. Most importantly, she’s helped me realize that I have the strength to be my own hero. Her insight, compassion, and unwavering support make her an extraordinary therapist. Anyone fortunate enough to work with her is truly working with the best."
"I have only been a client of Shannon's for about one month and I already notice drastic changes she has helped me facilitate in making. I have found our sessions extremely essential in my role as a mother and wife and am looking forward to continuing my therapy journey."
"Grief can be an incredibly isolating experience, but Shannon ensures that no one has to navigate it alone. From the moment I began working with her, I felt truly seen and supported. After the loss of my mother, I was extremely reluctant to speak with anyone, but finding Shannon was a gift. I often struggle and find it difficult to open up about my grief, but there is something about her demeanor that is reassuring and creates a comfortable, judgement free environment for me to share my feelings. I cannot fully express how grateful I am for her presence during this difficult time. She genuinely cares and sits with you in your sorrow, rather than letting you face it alone, I wholeheartedly recommend Shannon."
"I started this journey more than a year ago, questioning things in my life and wondering if I had any real control over them. I was searching for answers—about my relationships, or my own sense of self frequently. At times, it felt like everything was slipping through my fingers, and I wasn’t sure which direction to take. That’s when I found Shannon’s guidance. Shannon was able to really see me and put herself in my shoes. Her insights helped me see that I wasn’t as powerless as I had believed. In fact, I realized I had more control than I had ever imagined, and that was empowering. Through thoughtful reflections and practical advice, Shannon helped me gain clarity on what truly mattered to me and how I could move forward in my daily life on the best path for me and my family.
It is still a struggle at times, but mostly it has been like a weight had been lifted, and I finally started making intentional choices rather than feeling stuck. I learned to trust myself, embrace my strengths, and navigate challenges with a sense of purpose. I’m grateful for how my journey has unfolded, and I now look at life with a renewed sense of purpose and confidence. This process has given me the tools to take control, make intentional choices, and embrace new opportunities that I may have once been too afraid to think or even pursue. If you're seeking answers, perspective, or just need help finding your way, I highly recommend talking to Shannon and following her guidance—you’ll be amazed at how much you can learn about yourself and transform within when you start recognizing and believing in your own potential.
Healing is not about fixing what's broken. It’s about understanding of yourself, others, and the world.
After losing my brother, I knew I couldn’t let my pain be wasted, and I've found inspiration in helping others. House of Grace was born from that ache—and the belief that even in our darkest moments, there is meaning, growth, and grace to be found.
As a former high school English teacher, school counselor, and now mental health therapist, I’ve spent my life helping people to refocus on what gives their life meaning. I hold two master’s degrees from Monmouth University and bring both clinical insight and life experiences to my work.
But above all things, I am a mother first. I know the blessings and the burdens of motherhood intimately—
As a woman, I understand the unique challenges we sometimes face in our interpersonal relationships. Too often, women are weighed down from wounds of the past, keeping them from reaching the deepest connections with both themselves and those they love. Adequate support is essential when working through these wounds and I feel a profound calling to help others bear their burdens. By working together, we will focus on processing and healing the pain you carry, allowing you restoration in both your relationship with yourself and your relationship with those around you. I use an integrative approach that blends object relations, psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and Christian-based counseling to meet your individual needs and circumstances. The strongholds of the past do not have to be permanent. Healing is always possible.
Hi, I’m Rachel—homeschooling mama of four, wife of eighteen years, and a constant work in progress thanks to the mercy, grace, and love of Jesus.
Once upon a time in my former life, I taught high school literature. In my current life, my kitchen table is my classroom and motherhood is my ministry. I’ve been blessed with the kingdom work of raising three sons and one daughter who range in age from 16 to 3.
I’m an avid reader, love a good podcast, and take pride in my plethora of house plants. I can often be found cooking and baking or out on a long bike ride with my family. There are only two seasons: summer and waiting for summer, and you’ll never change my mind. I thrive on deep, meaningful conversation and am honored to share my personal thoughts and experiences on motherhood, life, and love at House of Grace Counseling.
